Transfer market: Anderlecht loans Ibrahim Kanaté to Germany

The promising Malian striker Ibrahim Kanaté is set for a new footballing adventure. At just 19 years old, it has been officially announced that he will join Kaiserslautern on loan from Anderlecht for the entire 2026-2027 season in the German second division.

The contract includes a purchase option should the German club be satisfied with his performances by the end of the season. After joining the Belgian side in January 2025, the young Malian talent is seeking more playing time in Germany to continue his development.

Kaiserslautern is counting on his explosive pace and one-on-one ability to energize their attacking line.

Last season, Kanaté featured in 26 matches across all competitions for Anderlecht, scoring four goals and providing one assist. This loan move is designed to give him the platform to shine and accelerate his footballing growth.
