Simon Adingra's adventure with Monaco is nearing its end. After joining AS Monaco on loan last February from Sunderland, the French club is not expected to keep hold of the Ivorian international winger.

According to Nice-Matin, the principality club does not plan to activate the €15 million buy option for Simon Adingra. As a result, the 23-year-old winger is likely to return to the Premier League, where he remains under contract with the Black Cats until 2030.

In 14 Ligue 1 appearances during the 2025-2026 season, Adingra notched 3 goals and provided 2 assists—numbers that failed to convince Monaco to make his move permanent.
