Transfer window: Evann Guessand in Stade Rennais' sights
Stade Rennais is eyeing a Ligue 1 talent to bolster their squad. The Breton club is keen to recruit Ivorian international Evann Guessand during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Since Habib Beye took over the reins at Stade Rennais, the Breton club has been on the rise. The team, once flirting with relegation, has managed to steer clear of the danger zone. No descent into the abyss for Rennes this season. To better prepare for the next season in the top flight, Habib Beye plans to sign a forward from OGC Nice.
Evann Guessand, Rennes' priority for the next season
According to information revealed by Jeunes Footeux, Evann Guessand is Stade Rennais' main target for the upcoming transfer window. The young Ivorian striker, aged 23, is having a brilliant season with Nice (12 goals and 7 assists in 35 matches). The only hurdle for Rennes is that Nice's manager, Franck Haise, is reluctant to let his offensive gem leave this summer.
The Eagles' management has already set Guessand's price at 35 million euros. This could deter Rennes' interest, as his value on the Transfermarkt website is set at 20 million euros. It's worth noting that the Elephant's contract with the Gym runs until 2029.
