Transfer window: Saïd Benrahma transferred to Neom SC! (Official)

It's official: Saïd Benrahma's adventure at Olympique Lyonnais comes to an end. Arriving in Lyon in the summer of 2023 from West Ham, the Algerian international did not manage to fully establish himself in the French Ligue 1.

Loaned last winter to Neom SC, a Saudi club then seeking promotion to the top division, the talented 29-year-old attacking midfielder has made a spectacular comeback.

Benrahma officially moves to Neom

His permanent signing was confirmed after Neom's resounding victory against Al Arabi (0-3) this Tuesday, securing their promotion to the Saudi Pro League.

In this decisive match, Benrahma notably scored his team's second goal from a penalty in the 80th minute, bringing his tally to 10 decisive contributions in 12 matches (goals and assists combined).

A €12 million deal

This transaction is expected to bring a handsome sum of €12 million to OL, a welcome boost in a rebuilding phase for the French club.

For his part, Benrahma has established himself as a key player at Neom thanks to his vision and technical quality. The Fennec will now continue his career in a rapidly developing league, where he is expected to play a major role next season.
