Transfer window: Stéphane Aziz Ki to Wydad, it's done!
With the 2025 Club World Cup fast approaching in the United States (June 14 to July 13), Wydad Casablanca has secured a major reinforcement. The Moroccan powerhouse is on the verge of officially announcing the signing of Burkina Faso international Stéphane Aziz Ki, as reported by several Moroccan and Burkinabe media outlets.
At 29 years old, the talented attacking midfielder with 17 caps (2 goals) had been plying his trade at Young Africans in Tanzania.
The maestro of Burkina Faso's Stallions may have played his last match for Yanga last Sunday in the national cup semi-final, a 2-0 victory over JKT Tanzania. While the transfer has yet to be finalized in every detail, his imminent signing in Casablanca is now all but certain.
Aziz Ki, a major boost for WAC!
Trained in Spain at San Roque de Lepe, Aziz Ki then journeyed through Cyprus (Omonia Nicosia, Aris Limassol, Nea Salamina), Ivory Coast (AFAD Djékanou, ASEC Mimosas), before heading to Tanzania in 2022.
His arrival is set to bolster WAC, who are aiming for a strong showing against heavyweight opponents: Al Ain, Juventus, and Manchester City.
