Trophée des Champions: the Collectif Ultras Paris announce a boycott
It’s official! Paris Saint-Germain will be without its most passionate supporters in Lens.
This Sunday, the Collectif Ultras Paris announced they would not be traveling to Stade Bollaert to support PSG. The boycott comes ahead of the Trophée des Champions clash against Racing Club de Lens, scheduled for next week.
In a statement released on social media, the main Parisian supporters’ group insisted that this type of match should be played on neutral ground, with an even distribution of tickets between fans of both clubs.
“The Collectif Ultras Paris has decided not to travel to Lens for the Trophée des Champions. (…) Yet again, the LFP leadership—whose incompetence needs no further proof—failed to organize this event as it should be, missing the chance to make it a true celebration for the fans. Instead, they let the clubs draw lots to decide who would host the match on their home pitch… A truly baffling decision. Of course, everyone is free to choose whether or not to attend the match. As for us, we will not be taking part,” declared the CUP.
