Tunisia: Sami Trabelsi returns to the dugout
Wydad AC has secured its new leading man. According to several consistent Moroccan sources, an agreement has been reached with Sami Trabelsi to take charge of the Casablanca club.
The former Tunisia national team coach succeeds Mohammed Benchrifa on the Red and Whites' bench. Negotiations, which had reached an advanced stage in recent hours, have resulted in a final agreement between both parties.
At 57 years old, Sami Trabelsi is expected to arrive in Casablanca in the coming hours to finalize the last administrative details and officially begin his tenure at the helm of Wydad.
This appointment signals the start of a new sporting project for the Moroccan club, which hopes to reclaim its place at the top of both the national and continental stage under the guidance of the Tunisian tactician.
Trabelsi's arrival also marks a major return to Maghreb football for the former Tunisian international, whose experience at the helm of the national team is seen as a major asset for Wydad.
