UD Almeria: Cristiano Ronaldo becomes shareholder

It's official! Cristiano Ronaldo becomes a shareholder of UD Almeria.

The Spanish second division club officially announced this Thursday that Cristiano Ronaldo has joined its ownership through his company, CR7 Sports Investments. This move comes as part of the consortium led by the SMC Group. In a statement, Almeria clarified that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has acquired a 25% stake in the club.

"Cristiano Ronaldo invests in UD Almeria as part of the club's ownership consortium, led by SMC Group," the statement reads. This marks a major milestone in the international expansion strategy spearheaded by president Mohamed Al Khereiji.

CR7, for his part, has stated his desire to help drive the club's development beyond the pitch and support its next phase of growth.
