UFOA A: one last ticket for the U17 AFCON between Guinea and Liberia

Guinea and Liberia are battling for a major objective. The two teams will contest the third-place play-off of the UFOA A tournament, with the last qualifying ticket for the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations at stake. Kick-off is scheduled for 16:00 GMT at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium.

Two teams looking to bounce back

Beaten 3-0 in the semi-final by Senegal, Guinea will be looking to respond. Liberia, meanwhile, are coming off a 3-1 defeat to Gambia. Both teams are aiming to end the tournament on a positive note.

A place on the podium that opens the door to the AFCON

The winner will take a place on the podium and claim the zone's third and final ticket. UFOA A has three places because Senegal, winners of the last Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, have already qualified as defending champions.
