UFOA B Women's LDC Qualifiers: Group B Will Be Decided This Afternoon
The third and final day of the UFOA B qualifying tournament for the 2027 CAF Women’s Champions League takes place this afternoon in Ouagadougou.
Two matches will be played simultaneously at 4:00 p.m. GMT.
The Ampen Darkoa Ladies host the Edo Queens. It’s a clash of the undefeated teams for first place: Nigeria’s Edo Queens lead the group with 6 points and a goal differential of +9. After a 7-0 win over AS GNN, the 2024 champions followed that up with a 3-1 victory over ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire.
Their opponents, the Ampen Darkoa Ladies of Ghana, also have 6 points but a +5 goal differential. The Ghanaians defeated ASEC 1-0 and then crushed AS GNN 4-0 on Matchday 2. The 2023 champions have yet to concede a goal. A draw would be enough for the Nigerians to finish atop the group. The Ghanaians must win to take the lead.
AS GNN vs. ASEC Mimosas: A Battle to Save Face
At the Stade du 4 Août, it will be a clash of the eliminated teams. AS Garde Nationale of Niger and ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast have nothing left to play for, each with two losses. Their goal is simple: to end the tournament with a victory and save face. Kickoff is at 4:00 p.m. GMT for both matches. At the end of the day, we’ll know the two teams from Group B that have qualified to join USFA and Dynamique FC in the semifinals.
