The Morocco U-17 women's national team claimed the 2026 UNAF Championship title on Wednesday, July 22, in Tunisia. In the third and final round, the Atlas Lionesses asserted their dominance with a commanding 4-0 win over the hosts.
Strong campaign
After a 1-1 draw against Botswana and a resounding 10-0 win over Libya, Younes Rabii's squad outclassed Tunisia with a clean-sheet four-goal triumph on their own turf, topping the standings. By the end of the tournament, Morocco finished first with 7 points, followed by Tunisia in second place with 6 points, Botswana in third with 4 points, while Libya took the bottom spot.
This tournament is part of the preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Morocco 2026, scheduled between October 17 and November 7 in Rabat and Salé.
