The 2026 World Cup qualifiers continue during this international break in March. Matchday 5 kicked off this Wednesday, March 19, 2025, with several matches played, including a certain Liberia-Tunisia in Group H. The Carthage Eagles claimed victory with a score of one goal to nil. But one aspect of this match, broadcasted all over the world, caught the attention of many.

Indeed, the ball used during this match was the one specially designed for the UEFA Champions League final of the 2024-25 season. The image of said ball, placed at the corner flag, made rounds on social media, sparking widespread commentary. Some observers are pointing fingers at CAF for this lack of professionalism. The decision of the African football governing body regarding this situation is eagerly awaited to allocate responsibility.
