Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala suffered another worrying medical scare on Tuesday, leaving the pitch in tears alongside medical staff during his side's pre-season friendly victory over FC Heidenheim.

Another distressing incident on the pitch

The German international collapsed on the pitch during the Tuesday friendly against Heidenheim. After a few tense moments, Musiala managed to get back on his feet but was visibly distressed.

He was seen crying as he was escorted off the field and directly down the tunnel to the dressing room by the club's medical team.

This alarming situation comes just two days after the 23 year old fainted during Bayern's previous pre-season outing against RB Leipzig. While initial reports attributed that first incident to extreme heat and exhaustion, the recurrence of a collapse within such a short timeframe has sparked immense concern regarding the player's health.

Despite the distressing scenes involving their star playmaker, Bayern Munich went on to secure a 4-2 victory over Heidenheim in what served as their final preparation match ahead of the new campaign.

The urgent need for comprehensive medical clearance

The recurring nature of Musiala's on pitch collapse is a major cause for concern for Bayern Munich's medical and executive staff. While the initial fainting spell against RB Leipzig was dismissed as a heat related anomaly, a second incident just 48 hours later demands comprehensive cardiological and neurological evaluations.

Manager Vincent Kompany and the club hierarchy will undoubtedly prioritize the player's long term health over any immediate sporting needs meaning Musiala will be completely sidelined from physical exertion until definitive medical clearance is granted.
