Luka Modric didn’t hesitate to call out his Real Madrid teammate, Kylian Mbappe, for simulation during Croatia’s 2 - 0 victory over France in the UEFA Nations League quarterfinal 1st leg on Thursday.

Controversial Moment

In the 87 minute with Croatia leading through goals from Ante Budimir and Ivan Perišić, Mbappé sprinted into the penalty box in attempt to create scoring opportunity. However Modric expertly dispossessed him with clean tackle, sending the ball out of play without any physical contact.

The French forward went down theatrically, hoping to win penalty but Modrić was having none of it. The Croatian veteran rushed toward Mbappé, demanding that he get up and stop exaggerating the fall.

Heated Exchange

Mbappe eventually stood up with smirk while Modrić continued discussing the incident with the referee insisting that the French star should have been booked for simulation.
