West Brom: Ousmane Diakité extends his contract until 2029
Ousmane Diakité has extended his contract with West Bromwich Albion until June 2029. The 25-year-old Malian midfielder continues his adventure in the Championship for the next three seasons.
Since his arrival in July 2024 from Austrian side Hartberg, Diakité quickly made his mark. After two outstanding seasons with the Austrian club, he caught the eye of the Baggies.
This season, the Malian international has proven his worth. As an indispensable starter, he featured in 39 matches across all competitions, scoring once and providing one assist.
Capable of playing both in central midfield and as a holding midfielder, Diakité has become a key piece in West Brom's project. The club, which narrowly avoided relegation, is banking on stability as they aim for a return to the Premier League.
