Numerous press reports have revealed that Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah is likely to switch his international allegiance to represent Ghana.

Nketiah Weighs Up Ghana Switch as Officials Step In

Eddie Nketiah, the Crystal Palace forward, may be on the verge of trading England for Ghana on the international stage. As reported by Standard Sport, Ghanaian officials have ramped up their efforts to persuade the striker to don the Black Stars shirt, with the required paperwork already being drawn up for submission to FIFA.

The door remains open for Nketiah to make the switch because his only outing for England's senior team came in a friendly. At youth level, the 27-year-old turned out for England at U18, U19, U20 and U21 level. For now, the forward is keeping his options open, with nothing set in stone regarding his international future.

Born in London to a Ghanaian family, Nketiah honed his craft in Chelsea's academy before moving to Arsenal's setup in 2015. He went on to make over 160 appearances for the Gunners' first team, finding the net 38 times and laying on six assists across all competitions. A loan spell at Leeds also formed part of his journey, where he featured 19 times and scored five goals.
