Women's Champions League qualifiers: USFA kicks off with a commanding victory

USFA began their campaign in style. Making their debut in Group A of the WAFU B qualifying tournament for the CAF Women's Champions League, the Burkinabe club asserted their dominance over Dynamique FC with a convincing 3-0 win.

The goals rewarded the Doves' dominance and experience at Stade du 04 Août. Assana Nako opened the scoring in the 54th minute. Deborah Guira doubled the lead in the 72nd, and Stéphanie Sow capped off the showcase in the 87th.

Facing Dynamique FC, who were playing their very first match in this WAFU B qualifier for the 2027 CAF Women's Champions League, USFA showcased their composure. With this emphatic win, the Burkinabe side already finds itself in a strong position for a semifinal berth.

The road ahead

The journey continues for both teams. On August 26, the Beninese will take on the champions of Togo. Then on August 29, it will be USFA’s turn to face Association Sportive de la Kozah. Let’s remember that only the top two teams in the group will secure a ticket to the semifinals. After such a flying start, USFA have every reason to believe they can claim their spot.
