Concerns about the length of the half-time break during the 2026 World Cup final appear to have been put to rest. After rumors suggested the interval could stretch to half an hour to accommodate a major show, FIFA has reportedly settled on a much more measured solution.

According to Marca, the break between the two halves of the clash between Argentina and Spain will last 17 minutes—just two minutes longer than the 15 minutes stipulated by the Laws of the Game. This brief extension will allow for an 11-minute musical performance featuring several international stars, including Shakira, Justin Bieber, and Coldplay. The remaining time will be dedicated to setting up and dismantling the stage, as well as pitch maintenance.

Scheduled for this Sunday at MetLife Stadium, the 2026 World Cup final promises to deliver a spectacle both on the pitch and in the stands, without disrupting the usual flow of a football match.
