The 2026 World Cup qualifiers are ongoing in the African zone. On Wednesday night, Egypt booked their ticket for next summer’s main event. The Pharaohs cruised past Djibouti 3-0, with Salah bagging a brace. With a five-point lead and just one matchday remaining in Group A, they can no longer be caught by Burkina Faso, who defeated Sierra Leone 1-0.

Djibouti 0 - 3 Egypt: Adel (8'), Salah (14', 84')

Sierra Leone 0 - 1 Burkina Faso: Zougrana (43')
