World Cup 2026 Qualifiers: André Biyogo Poko Returns to the Gabon Panthers

After an extended absence, André Biyogo Poko makes his grand return to the Gabon Panthers. The Amedspor midfielder has been called up for the upcoming national team matches.
Good news for the Gabonese international midfielder who hasn't worn the Panthers' jersey since June 18, 2023. Nearly two years later, the 32-year-old once again receives the call from the national team. While coach Thierry Mouyouma's list is still awaited, Amedspor has officially announced André Biyogo Poko's call-up.
"Congratulations Poko!
We congratulate our professional footballer André Biyogo Poko for his call-up to the Gabon national team, which will compete in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, and wish him much success."
The Amedspor midfielder in Turkey's second division presents an interesting profile and has a rich career, capable of bringing experience to Thierry Mouyouma's team. André Biyogo Poko has a total of 49 caps with Gabon from 2011 to 2023, with 3 goals scored and 1 assist.
He will thus be an asset for coach Mouyouma during the Panthers' gathering in the coming days for the 5th and 6th rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Gabon will host the Seychelles on March 20, 2025, at Stade de Franceville before traveling to Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi to face Kenya's Harambee Stars on March 23.
