Brighton have confirmed the signing of Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna from AIK, with the 18‑year‑old making the move to the Premier League following an impressive start to the season in which he registered five goals and four assists in just 12 appearances.

The Seagulls have secured the youngster’s long‑term future, handing him a contract that runs until June 2031. While the official fee has not been disclosed, multiple sources — including The Athletic — suggest the deal is worth in excess of €25 million.

The transfer marks a historic moment for both AIK and the Swedish league. Yohanna’s move becomes the most expensive outgoing transfer involving an Allsvenskan player, surpassing the previous record set by Lucas Bergvall, who joined Tottenham in 2024 for around €20 million.

At just 18, Yohanna has already taken a significant step in his career while also writing his name into Swedish football history. Brighton have added a dynamic young attacker to their ranks, and the winger now has the platform to showcase his talent on one of Europe’s biggest stages. The record‑breaking deal signals Brighton’s continued commitment to identifying and developing elite young talent from around the globe.
