Zamalek SC have firmly refuted recent media reports suggesting the club has agreed to sell Brazilian player Juan Alvina Bezerra releasing an official statement on Wednesday to clarify their unyielding stance on his future.

Official denial & board stance

The Zamalek board of directors, led by president Hussein Labib, categorically denied rumours circulating over the past few hours regarding Bezerra's potential departure.

The club emphasised that their official position, established in a previous statement, remains completely unchanged and that current media narratives do not reflect the reality of the situation within the club.

Contractual obligations & legal measures

In the statement, Zamalek asserted their commitment to protecting the institution's rights through all necessary legal channels. The club publicly ordered Bezerra to immediately return and resume group training with the first team.

The board highlighted that the Brazilian remains tied to the club by a legally binding contract valid for the next three seasons meaning any exit is strictly contingent on Zamalek's explicit approval and financial valuation.

"The club will pursue all legal procedures in this file to preserve the rights of the club and its fans" the official statement read making it clear that unilateral moves by the player will not be tolerated.

Appeal to media & supporters

Concluding the address, the Zamalek board urged media outlets to exercise accuracy and avoid being swayed by unofficial leaks. The club also appealed directly to its vast fanbase, requesting that supporters disregard external rumours and rely solely on updates published through Zamalek's official media platforms and communication channels.

Zamalek's robust public statement serves a dual purpose:

  • Quelling fan unrest regarding the future of a foreign asset
  • Sending a stern warning to the player and his representatives

By publicly highlighting the remaining three years on Bezerra's contract, Hussein Labib's administration is demonstrating zero tolerance for player driven transfer forcing.

This proactive approach aims to assert administrative dominance, ensuring that if Bezerra is eventually sold, it will be strictly on Zamalek's financial terms rather than through external pressure.
