2026 Ballon d'Or: João Félix votes for Lamine Yamal

João Félix has made his choice for the 2026 Ballon d’Or. Despite the outstanding seasons enjoyed by Harry Kane and the attacking players of Paris Saint-Germain, the Portugal international ranks Lamine Yamal above his rivals. Speaking to AS, João Félix notably believes that the Spaniard’s World Cup triumph should carry significant weight.

"I have always defended the idea that the Ballon d’Or should go to the player you watch and think: 'He’s a star and deserves to remain in football history.' And if there is one player who leaves you glued to the television, it’s Lamine. It’s true that Mbappé and Harry Kane had a great season, but Lamine is football. On top of that, he won the World Cup," the Al Nassr striker told the Spanish media outlet.
