Ballon d’Or: Ousmane Dembélé still wants to thank his team

More than a year after lifting the 2025 Ballon d’Or, Ousmane Dembélé has returned to thank his Paris Saint-Germain teammates.

Joining Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023, Ousmane Dembélé may not have imagined winning two Champions League titles and a Ballon d’Or. He was named the winner after an outstanding 2024–2025 season on a personal level (35 goals and 16 assists in 53 matches). The France international forward did not hide his pride when he was crowned the world’s best player last year. Dembélé continues to highlight the collective effort.

“One cannot happen without the other. You cannot do everything alone. You can be the best player and score a lot of goals, but the others around you also have to raise their level. As I said, it is an individual award, but the team helped me enormously. They put me in the best possible conditions in the year I won the trophy. I particularly remember Bradley Barcola, who provided me with many assists. It is also the result of collective work,” he said in his recent interview with the BBC.
