Algeria continues its historic run

In the quarter-finals, Algeria came from behind to defeat Ivory Coast (2-1), marking their best-ever performance in the competition.

On their debut appearance, Malawi have been the revelation of the tournament. The Scorchers made a statement by defeating defending champions Nigeria 3-2. They then topped Group C and advanced through the quarter-finals.

Their main weapon remains Temwa Chawinga. Fast, powerful, and a constant threat in behind, the Kansas City Current striker has already netted four goals in the tournament.
