FIFA has officially appointed Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg to take charge of the Group L encounter between Ghana and Panama, scheduled for Wednesday in Toronto.

An all-Swedish officiating team will oversee the match between Ghana and Panama. Glenn Nyberg will serve as the main referee, assisted by his compatriots Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Söderkvist, while Khalid Alturais will act as the fourth official.

This clash promises to be crucial in a tough group that also includes England and Croatia. A strong opening result for either Ghana or Panama could prove decisive in the race for qualification.

Under the guidance of Carlos Queiroz, Ghana enters this match with ambition after a successful qualifying campaign. The Black Stars are eager to make a statement in their opener against a Panamanian side determined to cause an upset.
