According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Iranian team will now be permitted to enter the United States on the eve of their matches, rather than on matchday itself as previously announced. This clarification comes amid heightened diplomatic tensions and logistical challenges related to visa issues.

Based in Tijuana, Mexico due to these administrative hurdles, the Iranian squad will therefore have additional time before their fixtures played on U.S. soil.

This development is seen as a significant sporting advantage, as it gives Iran’s squad a more comfortable window for pre-match preparations, even though several restrictions and uncertainties still linger regarding their participation in the tournament.
