Already a legend for becoming the all-time top scorer in this 2026 World Cup after his hat-trick against Algeria, Lionel Messi continues to smash records.

The Argentine maestro has now scored eight goals since the start of this World Cup. Messi remains the driving force for his national team, which will face England in the semi-finals. Last night against Switzerland, the Argentine captain made history yet again—this time in a different way. With his latest corner assist to Alexis Mac Allister during the Albiceleste's 3-1 win after extra time, the Inter Miami superstar reached the landmark of 10 assists in World Cup history.

He now becomes the top assist provider in the tournament's history, overtaking Germany's Fritz Walter (9).
