At Stade du 28 Septembre, Guinea are on the right track. Thanks to a goal from Serhou Guirassy, the Syli National lead Kenya’s Harambee Stars at half-time in this match on matchday two of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

A necessary win to get back on track

Serhou Guirassy opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, allowing the Syli National to win the first half.

Paulo Duarte’s men are up against it in Group D. Beaten 2-1 in their opening match by South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, Guinea can no longer afford any mistakes and must win to revive their qualification hopes.

Meanwhile, Kenya had been held to a 1-1 draw by minnows Eritrea on matchday one.

South Africa already pulling away

In the same group, South Africa have taken the lead. The Bafana Bafana recorded their second win yesterday by thrashing Eritrea 5-0, thus taking a serious step towards qualification.
