Thierno Barry leaves Spain for a new adventure in England. The Guinean-born player is now strengthening the African contingent at Everton.
Here are five things to know about the new Guinean Toffee.
- The 22-year-old striker was born in Lyon. This makes him eligible for both the French and Guinean national teams, and he has already played for the France U21 squad.

- Trained at Toulon, he joined Sochaux in 2021 but was unable to break into the first team. Nevertheless, his performances with the reserves earned him a contract with SK Beveren.
- After scoring 20 goals in 31 matches in the Belgian second division, he caught the eye of FC Basel scouts in Switzerland following just one season in Belgium.

- He was signed by FC Basel in 2023 for a fee of €3 million, scoring 14 goals and providing 5 assists in 38 appearances for the Swiss side.
- The Basel club sold him to Villarreal a year later for €14 million. His record with the Yellow Submarine stands at 9 goals and 3 assists in 29 matches.
