Cancelled last March, the Finalissima could finally be revived this November in Qatar, offering a new high-profile clash between the two continental champions.

Just a short time after their showdown in the 2026 World Cup final, Spain and Argentina might soon meet again. The two teams could face off as early as next November in the Finalissima, a fixture that pits the champions of Europe against the champions of South America.

According to Argentinian radio DSports 103.1 FM and Cristian Camiño, a journalist for TNT Sports Argentina, FIFA is currently looking into this possibility. Advanced talks are reportedly underway to organize the match at Lusail Stadium in Qatar, the very venue where La Albiceleste claimed their world title in 2022.

Originally, La Roja, the 2024 European champions, and Argentina, Copa América winners the same year, were set to clash on March 27. However, the match was cancelled due to security concerns in Qatar and the lack of an agreement between UEFA and CONMEBOL over a new venue. No official date has been announced yet.
