Afimico Pululu: here's why he won't go to Turkey

Free since his departure from Jagiellonia Białystok, Afimico Pululu has yet to find a new club. While a transfer seemed imminent in recent weeks, a new factor may explain why the Congolese striker remains without a team.

An agreement that was never finalized

According to Turkish journalist Engin Kocabıyık, Kocaelispor was one of the clubs most advanced in negotiations. Both parties had reportedly reached common ground on contract terms. Despite this agreement in principle, the transfer was never signed. The Turkish club is said to have ended talks just before the official signing.

The same source indicates that Kocaelispor pulled out of signing Pululu due to health concerns, though no further details have been disclosed. Just weeks earlier, the former Jagiellonia striker was reportedly on the verge of joining Al-Hazem in Saudi Arabia, where he was expected to undergo a medical. Since that announcement, nothing has been made official.

A future still up in the air

At 27, Pululu continues to train individually as he waits for his next move. Recently, he has shared photos on social media wearing the shirts of Legia Warsaw, Górnik Zabrze, and Cracovia, fueling speculation but with no concrete offers materializing.

Several clubs are keeping a close eye on his situation, but none have taken the final step so far. His status as a free agent is financially attractive to clubs, but his next move will likely hinge on his ability to reassure teams about his physical condition before any deal is signed.
