Mercato: revelation, Afimico Pululu set to join Al-Hazem

Without a club since his contract with Jagiellonia ended, Afimico Pululu is set to sign with Al-Hazem in Saudi Arabia. The official announcement is expected soon, pending a successful medical examination.

According to our sources, the 27-year-old striker is currently undergoing the standard medical check-up at Clinique Mutuelle Ville in Tunisia under the supervision of Dr. Mabrouk Tiss, before signing with Al-Hazem, who were promoted to the Saudi Pro League for the 2024-25 season and managed to stay up by finishing ninth last campaign.

Before moving to Saudi Arabia, the Luanda-born forward began his career with the youth team of FC Basel in Switzerland. He signed his first professional contract in 2017 and spent six months on loan at Neuchâtel Xamax in 2019.

Transferred in 2022 to Greuther Fürth in Germany, he scored just one goal in 21 matches with the first team. It was in Poland, with Jagiellonia, that he truly made his mark, netting 56 goals and providing 17 assists in 134 matches.

This move marks a new chapter for the player who chose to represent DR Congo, but who has yet to play a single minute for the Leopards despite several call-ups, due to recurring injuries.
