African Nations Championship (CHAN): A look back at the 2018 edition

The 5th edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) was hosted by Morocco.

The tournament featured 16 nations: Morocco, Angola, Ivory Coast, Libya, Cameroon, Guinea, Nigeria, Zambia, Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, and Namibia.

Morocco's show of strength

The Atlas Lions dominated their rivals from start to finish. They topped their group with 7 points, thanks to two victories over Mauritania (4-0) and Guinea (3-1), and a draw against Sudan (0-0).

In the quarter-finals, they defeated Namibia (2-0), then advanced past Libya in the semi-finals (3-1 after extra time) before routing Nigeria 4-0 in the final.
