According to the Saudi newspaper Ar-Riyadiyah, Salah is in no rush to sign a new contract. He has instructed his representatives to freeze all club negotiations until his international duties with the Pharaohs at the upcoming World Cup in North America are complete.

While Saudi Pro League officials have already initiated contact, the current financial packages on the table are reportedly lower than the astronomical figures presented to him last year when he opted to extend his stay at Anfield.

However money is only part of the equation. The veteran attacker is demanding a solid sporting project and a favorable contract length insisting his next destination must offer genuine competition for major silverware.
