Al Ahly extends Mohamed El Shenawy's contract


The Egyptian football powerhouse, Al Ahly, has successfully extended the contract of their star goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy.

This is excellent news for Al Ahly supporters, just weeks before the Club World Cup kicks off, with the final phase set to take place in the United States starting June 14.

In an interview with Egyptian TV, former sporting director Mohamed Ramadan confirmed the contract extension of the man nicknamed the Great Wall.
At 36 years old, the Pharaohs' shot-stopper has lost none of his brilliance, as evidenced by his outstanding performances in the CAF Champions League.

Since joining the club in 2016, the El Hamool native has played 325 matches for the Cairo giants across all competitions, conceding 205 goals and keeping 179 clean sheets.
