Alejandro Balde is closer to leaving Barcelona
After news broke about the player's desire to stay, there are serious doubts about Alejandro Balde's potential departure from Barcelona.
Sources close to Barcelona, most notably the Jijantes website, have revealed that La Masia graduate Alejandro Balde is more likely to leave the club than stay this summer.

Alejandro Balde is looking for a bigger opportunity to prove his abilities
After a fresh round of discussions with the club, the defender has made up his mind to actively seek a transfer. It became clear to him during those conversations that he doesn't feature in Hansi Flick's vision for the senior squad. Convinced that his chances for meaningful playing time will be scarce not just in the upcoming season but likely further down the line as well, he now believes that moving on is his best option.
Alejandro Balde has been a target for Saudi Arabian clubs for quite some time, and it seems these interests are resurfacing. However, the player has decided that his desire is to remain in Europe for the foreseeable future of his career.
Hansi Flick could be a possible reason for Balde's departure
Uncertainty surrounding Alejandro Balde's future only grew after Hansi Flick's latest remarks, which seemed to call into question the young full-back's full dedication to the cause. Speaking about the La Masia graduate, the manager didn't hold back:
“He’s a player of immense quality, and it’s important to know if he’s convinced he can compete in his position. That’s what I want to see from all my players,” Flick stated, adding firmly, “I need everyone to be one hundred percent, totally committed.”
Whether those words directly triggered Balde's eventual choice remains unclear. What is certain, however, is that the combination of Joao Cancelo's arrival and the coach's publicly expressed reservations sent a clear signal. For the 22-year-old, that was more than enough to conclude that his future lay away from the club.
