Algeria: Bayer Leverkusen makes a bold decision on Ibrahim Maza

After a sensational start in Bayer Leverkusen colors, Ibrahim Maza continues to grow in stature. Despite attracting interest from several top European clubs, the Algerian attacking midfielder is set to continue his adventure in Germany, where the club's management is counting on him more than ever.

Arriving last summer from Hertha Berlin, Ibrahim Maza quickly established himself as one of the breakout stars at Bayer Leverkusen, despite being just 20 years old. Now the midfield maestro for the German club and a key figure for the Algerian national team, Maza has won over the European football scene.

Courted by several European heavyweights, the Algerian international will nevertheless remain at Leverkusen this summer. According to the German daily Bild, the club's management wants to keep their prodigy for at least one more season to further his development.

As a reminder, Ibrahim Maza is currently competing in the 2026 World Cup with Algeria. The 20-year-old was named Man of the Match after his outstanding performance in the Fennecs' comeback win over Jordan (2-1) on matchday two of Group J.
