Allegri officially appointed as Napoli head coach

Massimiliano Allegri has been officially appointed as the new head coach of SSC Napoli. The Italian club confirmed the arrival of the experienced tactician to replace Antonio Conte.

Following Conte’s departure after two successful seasons, highlighted by a league title, Napoli has chosen to bank on Allegri’s experience to reinvigorate their sporting project. After a challenging stint at AC Milan, where he endured a disappointing season, Allegri is back in Serie A with a fresh challenge. His time in Milan ended with a fifth-place finish and results that fell short of expectations.

The 56-year-old coach has signed a long-term contract, running until June 2029. This marks his third major Italian club after AC Milan and Juventus, where he lifted several major trophies.
