Amin Chiakha is attracting significant interest from Gladbach and another German club
Amin Chiakha's breakout spell in the colours of Rosenborg BK has caught the eye of a host of European clubs. According to information from Fussball News, SC Freiburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach are keeping a close watch on the 20-year-old striker's performances.
Keen competition for Amin Chiakha's services
These two Bundesliga sides have been regularly monitoring the Algerian international ever since his time in Denmark. Stade Rennais, AS Monaco, Sevilla FC, RSC Anderlecht and La Gantoise are also making enquiries about his profile.
As things stand, no formal negotiations have kicked off between the interested parties and Rosenborg. Recruiters are merely carrying out scouting and assessment work. The Norwegian club remains calm, having triggered the purchase option for Chiakha back in August from FC Copenhagen.
That €5 million transfer has gone down as the most expensive deal in the history of Norwegian football, sealed alongside a contract tying the player to the club until 31 December 2030. The Scandinavian side's hierarchy has flatly ruled out any departure during the winter transfer window.
A sale would only be entertained should a financially exceptional offer arrive. The player's market value now stands at €8 million, yet the Norwegian club's bosses are hoping to fetch somewhere between €15 and €20 million, while also building in a percentage on any future resale.
