While Galatasaray are interested in Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri, it seems that Arsenal are currently genuinely interested in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to strengthen their attack.

A bid in the region of £38 million has landed on Arsenal's table for Martinelli, and sources suggest the north London club would be open to doing business if the offer meets their valuation. Meanwhile, Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta has held talks with George Gardi—the intermediary representing Galatasaray—with the conversation also touching on young Ethan Nwaneri.

Arsenal discussed the possibility of signing Osimhen

Arsenal have been discussing the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen extensively for some time, as reported by The Telegraph. It is worth noting that another London club, Tottenham, has shown genuine interest in signing the Nigerian star and has also entered into negotiations to sign him.

While Arsenal have previously shown interest in Osimhen, the Nigerian striker was not high on their priority list during last summer's transfer window, when they instead secured Viktor Gyokeres. Mikel Arteta's primary attacking target,

however, remains Julian Alvarez. At 27, Osimhen is a year older than the Argentine, and his Galatasaray contract still has three years to run one less than Alvarez's current deal with Atletico Madrid. The former Napoli marksman, who once topped Serie A's scoring charts, was offloaded by the Italian club for approximately £64 million last summer.

Galatasaray want to double the price for Victor Osimhen

Turkish media reports suggest Galatasaray would demand roughly double that figure just to entertain the idea of parting with their prized forward. Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, are said to value Alvarez even higher though they have no intention of letting him go.

The Argentine's preference, however, appears to lean toward a move to Barcelona, with Real Madrid also registering strong interest in his services.
