The future of Thomas Partey at Arsenal remains uncertain, but a contract extension seems to be taking shape. The Gunners' manager recently broke his silence on the Ghanaian player's future. Mikel Arteta hinted that an agreement could be reached soon.

When asked about his player's future, coach Arteta stated: "Yes, there is progress with all the players. I leave Andrea and the club to decide and discuss. So, is the intention to keep him? The intention is very clear." The Spanish coach emphasizes Partey's impact on the field.

Although rumors have suggested a possible departure, notably to Juventus or Saudi clubs, initially, Arsenal considered letting Partey go at the end of his contract. However, his current performances might prompt the club to reconsider this position. It seems the Gunners are tempted to retain their 31-year-old midfielder.
