Arsenal demand £60 million for Viktor Gyökeres
Arsenal would be ready to part ways with Viktor Gyökeres, but not at any price. According to TuttoJuve, the London club would be demanding £60 million, or around 796 million Swedish kronor, to let their striker leave. That figure could put a brake on the ambitions of AC Milan and Juventus.
Limited playing time at Arsenal
Signed from Sporting CP for €66 million, with a further €10 million potentially payable in bonuses, Viktor Gyökeres scored 21 goals and provided three assists in 55 appearances in all competitions during his first season at Arsenal. However, the 28-year-old Sweden international has had less playing time since the start of the current campaign.
He has started only some of the matches and notably began two league games on the bench during the first five rounds. The player is reportedly understood to have recently expressed his desire to play more. According to reports, his representatives are also considering discussing his future with the London club's management.
Milan and Juventus remain interested
Gyökeres's situation is said to have attracted the attention of several European and foreign clubs. AC Milan and Juventus are reportedly among the most interested suitors, while Galatasaray, Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad have also been mentioned as possible destinations.
However, Arsenal would not be willing to consider a loan and would prefer a permanent transfer. The asking price, estimated at £60 million, would therefore represent a significant obstacle for the two Italian clubs. Arsenal remain in a relatively strong position in this matter, as the Swedish striker's contract runs until the summer of 2030.
