Arsenal exploring Vinicius Junior option in the transfer market

Arsenal is weighing up a move for Vinicius Junior in this summer transfer window, should the Brazilian fail to extend his contract with Real Madrid. According to The Athletic, the Premier League champions have internally approved this potential target, although talks are still at a very early stage.

No official contact has yet been made between Arsenal and Real Madrid. However, the London club’s hierarchy is keeping a close watch on negotiations between the Spanish side and the 26-year-old winger, whose contract is set to expire in twelve months.

Real Madrid is determined to avoid losing one of their key players for free in the summer of 2027, especially since Vinicius Junior would be in line for a significant loyalty bonus if he were to see out his contract.

After netting 22 goals across all competitions in the 2025-2026 season, Vinicius Junior also starred for Brazil at the World Cup, scoring four times in five matches. Since his 2018 arrival at Real Madrid from Flamengo, he has racked up 375 appearances, 128 goals, and 100 assists in the famous white shirt.
