AS Monaco: Paul Pogba could see his contract terminated

French international midfielder Paul Pogba and AS Monaco are on the verge of parting ways.

Even before Paul Pogba suffered a new injury to his left thigh during training this Tuesday, the AS Monaco management had informed him of their intention to terminate his contract nearly a year before its official end, according to Nice-Matin. A financial agreement is expected to be reached soon between "La Pioche" and the Principality club, which is ready to settle his remaining wages.

This is, unfortunately, a logical decision by AS Monaco, as the former Manchester United star played only six brief appearances last season after his doping suspension and featured just one half against Saint-Priest (5-2) during this pre-season. The big question now is whether the ex-Juventus midfielder will try to bounce back with a new team or decide to end his career.
