Aston Villa pushes for Nicolas Jackson in transfer market

Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea remains uncertain. Despite joining the London squad for preseason preparations, the Senegalese striker is among the players who could leave the Blues during this transfer window.

Aston Villa has decided to go on the offensive for Nicolas Jackson. The English club has already begun efforts to persuade Chelsea to let go of the Senegal international during this summer transfer window. According to multiple sources, the former Villarreal forward is open to a move to the Villans. The prospect of reuniting with Unai Emery, whom he worked with in Spain and holds in high regard, is a major factor in this transfer saga.

Chelsea sets its price

However, Chelsea has no intention of letting their striker go on the cheap. The Blues have reportedly set his price at £65 million and will only consider a departure if that valuation is met.

The arrival of João Pedro, now considered the first-choice striker, along with the ongoing signing of Morgan Rogers, could limit Nicolas Jackson's playing time. The London club therefore will not stand in his way if a satisfactory offer comes in.
