Atlas Lions: Mohamed Ouahbi's salary and contract duration revealed

The new head coach of the Atlas Lions, Mohamed Ouahbi, is currently in the spotlight of Morocco’s sporting scene following his appointment at the helm of the national team, succeeding his compatriot Walid Regragui.

What is Mohamed Ouahbi's salary?

According to information reported by the Moroccan press, notably the daily Al Mountakhab, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation ( FRMF ) has signed Ouahbi, the former Morocco U20 coach, to a permanent contract.

However, his performance will be assessed after the 2026 World Cup, meaning his future at the helm of the Atlas Lions will depend on the results achieved at the World Cup.

The Moroccan tactician will receive a monthly salary estimated at 6 million centimes (about 55,000 euros), which is double what he earned when he was in charge of the Morocco U20 team, where his salary was 3 million centimes (around 27,000 euros).

Furthermore, Mohamed Ouahbi is set for his first test as head coach of the Moroccan national team in two friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay, scheduled for March 27 and 31, respectively in Madrid and Lens.
