Atlético Madrid: Alvaro Morata regrets his departure

In 2024, Alvaro Morata left Atlético Madrid to join AC Milan. Spain still laments that decision.

Loaned out to Galatasaray and then to Como, Alvaro Morata has scored only 14 goals over the past two seasons. He even drew a blank in the league this year. Speaking on journalist Mario Suarez's podcast, Alvaro Morata expressed deep regret over his move to Italy.

"The decision to leave Atletico was the biggest mistake of my career. I would trade all the titles I have won for just one trophy with Atleti. It's the club I love, I was so happy there," confessed the striker, who was left out of Spain's squad for the 2026 World Cup.
