According to Sport this Friday, FC Barcelona is getting closer to Manchester City's demands for the transfer of Rodri.

This information was confirmed shortly after by transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano. The journalist reports that a third offer, estimated at €70 million, has been submitted by the Blaugrana.

However, Manchester City's Sky Blues are still holding out for nearly €80 million for their midfielder. This is despite just one year left on his contract, but that hasn't stopped Barça from remaining quite optimistic.

The best player of the 2026 World Cup has requested not to return to training until an agreement is reached between the two clubs. The outcome seems near for Rodri.
