Ballon d'Or 2026: Luis de la Fuente picks his winner
Another voice has spoken out on the 2026 Ballon d'Or. The Roja coach has made his choice for the most coveted individual award.
Who will win the 2026 Ballon d'Or? For several weeks now, Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal have launched an aggressive media campaign. Several players, such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Fabian Ruiz, Rodri and Ousmane Dembélé, are also in contention.
In any case, Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente genuinely hopes that a Spaniard will be crowned. “They are the best in the world. The history of the Ballon d'Or owes more than one title to a Spaniard. Now, I would like another Spaniard to win it, because that would make me just as happy,” he said at a press conference on the eve of hosting Croatia at the Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville.
